CHAPTER 155.

AN ACT to authorise the Governor, Comptroller,
and Treasurer to sell two hundred shares of the
stock of the Union Manufacturing Company
held by the State, and to apply the proceeds to
the liquidation of the debts of the State.

Empowered
to sell.
|
SECTION. 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That the Governor, Comptroller and
Treasurer of the State are hereby directed and em-
powered to sell, for the best price that can be ob-
tained, two hundred shares of stock in the Union
Manufacturing Company held by the State of Ma-
ryland, and that the proceeds of sale of said stock
are directed to be paid into the Treasury of the
State, and that the money so received shall be ap-
plied by the Treasurer to the payment and reduc-
tion of the debts of this State.

Sec. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall
take effect from its passage.

AN ACT to establish, the Maryland Industrial
School for Girls.

incorporated.
|
SECTION 1. Be it enacted Ly the General Assembly
of Maryland, That Reverend Franklin Wilson,
Francis T. King, William B. Cromfield, Hugh
L. Bond, Joseph Dean Smith, Hiram Woods,
Jr., Edward Otis Hinckley, Dr. James Carey
Thomas, J. Harman Brown and John Curlett,
and all such persons as now are, or shall here-
after become contributors in the manner hereinafter
provided, be, and they are hereby incorporated by
the name of " The Maryland industrial School for
Girls, " and by that name shall have perpetual suc-
cession, with power to have a common seal, and to
