CHAPTER 140.

AN ACT appropriating a sum of money to pay the
claim of Henry H. Owings, for costs in the Or-
phans' Court of Baltimore city, and in the Court
of Appeals, due to him by the State, in the case
of Henry H. Owings vs. State of Maryland.

Authorized
to pay.
|
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That the Comptroller be and he is
hereby directed to issue his warrant upon the Trea-
surer to pay Henry H. Owings, or order, the sum
one hundred and six dollars and eleven cents due
him by the State, for costs in the Orphans' Court of
Baltimore city, and in the Court of Appeals, in the
case of Henry H. Owings vs. State of Maryland,
the judgment for said costs, being against the
State and in favor of the said Henry H. Owings.

Sec. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall
take effect from the date of its passage.

AN ACT to amend an Act to incorporate the
Grand Lodge of Free, and Accepted Masons of
Maryland, passed February eighth, eighteen
hundred and twenty-two.

SECTION. 1. Be it exacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That the name, style and title
of t b e Grand Lodge of Free and Accepted Ancient
York Masons of Maryland, conferred by the Act
passed February eighth, eighteen hundred and
twenty-two, chapter one hundred and forty-seven,
incorporating and making a body corporate the in-
corporators therein named, be and the same is
hereby changed and altered, and that said corpo-
