ration and body politic, shall he known as the
Grand Lodge of Ancient, Free and Accepted Ma-
sons of Maryland, and by that name, style and
title, shall possess the corporate powers embraced
in said Act of February eighth, eighteen hundred
and twenty-two.

Sec. 2. And be it enacted, That the said Act
be further amended by striking out in the proviso
of the first section the word "twenty, " and insert-
ing in lieu thereof, the word "fifty. "

take effect and be in force from the date of its pas-
sage.

AN ACT to incorporate the Patent Prepared Food
Company.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted, by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That Francis Stabler, P. S. Chap-
pell, James L. Sutton, Henry Reese, Thomas Y.
Canby, and S. Robinson Coale, their associates, suc-
cessors and assigns, be and they are hereby incor-
porated a body politic and corporate by the name
of the Patent Prepared Food Company, and by
shall that name have perpetual succession, may sue
and be sued, may make, have, and alter a common
seal, ordain by-laws, and do whatever else corpo-
rate bodies are authorised to do to promote the object
for which they are incorporated, not contrary to
law.

Sec. 2. And be it enacted, That the object of
said corporation, shall be the packing of animal
and vegetable substances fit for food, and the im-
provement of the modes thereof, and for that pur-
pose, they may purchase and hold and dispose of
personal and real estate and patent rights, and
