CHAPTER 135.
AN ACT for the relief of Whitney, Medairy and
Gushing, of Baltimore.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted, by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That the Comptroller of the Treas-
ury be, and ho is hereby directed to draw his war-
rant on the Treasurer of the State, in favor of
Whitney, Medairy and Cushing, for the sum of
two thousand three hundred and ninety-four dol-
lars and seventy cents, tor blank books, paper and
labor, furnished in pursuance of the act of Janu-
ary session, eighteen hundred and sixty-five, chap-
ter one hundred and thirty.

Sec. 2. Be it enacted, That this act shall take
effect and be in force from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 136.
|

AN ACT to repeal section seventy-five, article
seventeen, of the Public Local Laws entitled,
"Queen Anne's county, " and section one, article
seventeen, of the supplements, and re-enact the
same with amendments.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That section seventy-five, article
seventeen, of the Public Local Laws, entitled,
"Queen Anne's county, " and section one, article
seventeen, of the supplements, he, and the same is
hereby repealed, and the following section substi-
tuted therefor.

Compensa-
tion.
|
75. The Clerk to the County Commissioners
for Queen Anne's county, shall receive annually as
a compensation for his services, such sum as the
county commissioners may deem proper, not ex-
ceeding four hundred dollars, and the said Clerk is
