CHAPTER 93.
AN ACT to authorize and direct the Commissioner
of the Laud Office to issue a patent for a tract of
laud called "Saint Barts. "

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That the Commissioner of the Laud
Office is hereby authorised and directed to issue a
patent for a tract of land called " Saint Barts, " to
John A. Smith.
|
Authorized to
issue patent.
|
Sec. 2. Be it enacted, That this act shall take
effect from the date of its passage.
|

A FURTHER SUPPLEMENT to the act of
eighteen hundred and sixty, chapter two hun-
dred and seventy-four, entitled, an Act to in-
corporate the Baltimore and Liberty Turnpike
Company.

6, 1866.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That the said Baltimore and Liberty
Turnpike Company, shall have full power and au-
thority to borrow or raise by loan, a sum of money
not exceeding twenty thousand dollars, for the pur-
pose of liquidating any debt or debts they may have
contracted. in the construction of their said Turn-
pike Road, and to secure the payment of the same
by a mortgage or pledge of their said road and
property owned by. them, and their tolls, privileges
and corporate franchises in such manner as the
president and directors of said Company may
deem proper.

Sec. 2. And be it enacted, That the said Turn-
pike Company shall have power and authority to
sell and convey a certain lot of land situated in
