Baltimore county, lying on the line of said Turn-
pike Road, containing one and one-quarter acres
of land, more or less, which was conveyed to the
said Company by Catherine Curach by deed, dated
the nineteenth day of July, eighteen hundred and
sixty-four, and recorded in Liber, J. H. L., num-
ber forty-one, one of the land record hooks of Bal-
timore county.

In force.

Sec. 3. And fie it enacted, That this act shall
take effect from the date of its passage.

AN ACT to amend an act passed at January Ses-
sion, eighteen hundred and fifty-three, chapter
three hundred and seventy-nine, entitled, "An
Act to amend An Act to incorporate the Mutual
Insurance Company of Washington county, "
passed at December Session, eighteen hundred
and forty-five, chapter thirty-seven, and to extend
the charter of said company.

Amended,

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That the fourth section of the act,
passed at January Session, in year of our Lord
eighteen hundred and fifty-three, chapter three
hundred and seventy-nine, entitled, an act to
amend an act entitled an act to incorporate the
Mutual Insurance Company of Washington county,
passed at December Session, eighteen hundred and
forty-five, chapter thirty-seven, shall be altered and
amended as follows: strike out all after the word
"credits, " in the eighth line of said section four, and

insert in lieu thereof the words, "provided, that no
dividend shall be made except of the net profits,
exceeding the sum of twenty thousand dollars;
and provided, further, when each annual dividend
is made after the adoption of this act by the members
