SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General. Assembly
of Maryland, That the assignment made by the
order of the State's Attorney for Dorchester county,
under the directions of the Comptroller, on the
third day of April, in the year eighteen hundred
and fifty-five, of a judgment rendered at the Octo-
ber term, eighteen hundred and fifty-five, of a
judgment rendered at the October term, eighteen
hundred and fifty-two, of the Circuit Court for
Dorchester county, in favor of the State of Mary-
land, against John Richardson, Collector of taxes,
and John Tubman, Samuel R. Dunnick, John H.
Hodson, Samuel Harrington, James E. Hall,
Joseph Bradshaw and James Woolford, securities
upon the official bond of said John Richardson, the
said assignment being to John Tubman, Samuel
R. Dunnick, John H. Hodson, Samuel Harring-
ton, James E. Hall and Joseph Bestfritch, execu-
tors of Joseph Bradshaw, deceased, shall be, and
the same is hereby rendered as valid and effective,
as if said assignment, at the time it was made, had
been authorized by law.

Sec. 2. And be it enacted, That the assignees
aforesaid, and their legal representatives are here-
by subrogated as against the said John Richard-
son, to all the rights and priorities in the said case,
held by the State at the time of said assignment.
