its of the county, payable in quarterly instalments
not exceeding the estimates of the work done as
aforesaid.

Levy.

Sec. 4. And be it enacted, That the County Com-
missioners shall annually levy on the property of
said county an addition to their ordinary levy for
county, purposes a sum sufficient to pay the annual
interest on the bonds issued by them under the
provisions of this act, and to create a sinking fund
for the redemption of said bonds at the period of
their maturity.

Construction.

Sec. 5. And be it enacted, That nothing con-
tained in this act shall be construed as authorizing
the said County Commissioners to make a second
subscription to said railroad, or to increase the
amount of their first subscription, or to issue bonds
except for work done on said railroad within the
limits of said county, and in the manner herein-
before provided.

Condition
upon which
bonds may be
endorsed.

Sec. 6. And be it enacted, That the said com-
missioners shall not subscribe for said stock, or
endorse said bonds until they are satisfied that
said road can be completed to Cumberland, and
that said subscription or endorsement shall only
be applied to the construction of said road, within
the limits of Allegany county, and that said coun-
ty shall not be liable to pay said subscription, or
the interest on the bonds so endorsed, unless said
money is all expended in the construction of said
road within the limits of Allegany county.
