Chapter 460.

 

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact section twenty-

 

nine of chapter one hundred and fifty-one of

 

the act of eighteen hundred and seventy-two,

 

entitled "An act to incorporate the town of

 

Crisfield, in Somerset county," and the act of

 

eighteen hundred and seventy-eight, chapter

 

fifteen, repealing and re-enacting the same.

 

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly

 

of Maryland, That section twenty-nine of chapter

 

one hundred and fifty-one of the acts of the Gen-

 

eral Assembly of Maryland of the session of

teen, be and the same are hereby repealed and re-

 

enacted so as to read as follows :

 

SEC. 29. That all persons charged with offences

 

against any of the provisions of this chapter, or

 

against any of the ordinances of the said commis-

 

sioners for the regulation and good government of

 

the town, shall be tried before a justice of the

who may fine the offender if he shall be adjudged

 

guilty, such sum as is prescribed by said ordi-

 

nances, not exceeding the amount authorized by

 

this chapter; and said person or persons may be

 

proceeded against by a summons for debt, as small

 

debts are recovered, or by a warrant in the name

 

of the State of Maryland, for the use of the Com-

case be paid to the said commissioners for the use

have power to remit the said fine or imprisonment
