Chapter 433.

AN ACT making appropriations for the support of
|
|
|
the State Government for the fiscal year ending
|
|
|
on the thirtieth day of September, eighteen hun-
|
|
|
dred and eighty-three.
|
|
|
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assem-
|
|
|
bly of Maryland, That for the expenditures in the
|
|
|
support of the government of the State for and dur-
|
|
|
ing the fiscal year beginning with the first day of
|
|
|
October, eighteen hundred and eighty-two, and
|
Appropria-
tions.
|
|
ending with the thirtieth day of September, eigh-
|
|
|
teen hundred and eighty-three, the following sums
|
|
|
of money, or such thereof as may be necessary, be
|
|
|
and the same are hereby appropriated; that is to
|
|
|
say —
|

FOR STATE OFFICERS.
|
|
|
For the salary of the Governor, four thousand
|
|
|
five hundred dollars; for the salary of Secretary of
|
|
|
the State, two thousand dollars; for the salary of
|
|
|
the Messenger of the Governor, one thousand dollars ;
|
|
|
for the salary of the Comptroller, two thousand five
|
|
|
hundred dollars; for the salary of Chief Clerk to
|
|
|
the Comptroller, eighteen hundred dollars; for the
|
|
|
salaries of three Assistant Clerks to the Comptroller,
|
|
|
twelve hundred dollars each — three thousand six
|
|
|
hundred dollars; for the salary of the Treasurer,
|
|
|
two thousand five hundred dollars; for the salary
|

of the Chief Clerk to the Treasurer, eighteen hun-

dred dollars; for the salary of one Assistant Clerk
|
|
|
to the Treasurer, twelve hundred dollars; for the

salary of the State Tax Commissioner, two thous-

and five hundred dollars; for the salary of one
|
|
|
Clerk to the State Tax Commissioner, twelve hun-
|
|
|
dred dollars; for the salary of the State Librarian,
|
|
|
fifteen hundred dollars; for the salary of the Com-
|
|
|
missioner of the Land Office, fifteen hundred dollars;
|
|
|
fol the salary of one Clerk to the Commissioner of
|
|
|
the Land Office, twelve hundred dollars.
