Chapter 29.

AN ACT to appropriate a sum of Money to pay

Andrew J. Wiley, late Collector of State Taxes

for the Fourth Election District of Harford

county.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assem-

bly of Maryland, That the Comptroller be and he

is hereby authorized and directed to issue his war-

rant upon the Treasurer of the State, to pay Andrew

J. Wiley, of Harford county, the sum of forty seven

dollars and twenty cents, being the amount overpaid

by the said Andrew J. Wiley into the Treasury as

collector of State taxes of said county for the year

eighteen hundred and seventy seven, and certified

to by the Comptroller and Treasurer of this State,

and by them recommended to be refunded.

Effective.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall take

effect from the date of its passage.

Chapter 30.

AN ACT to repeal an act passed at the January

session, eighteen hundred and seventy-eight, chap-

ter forty-eight, entitled " An Act to Encourage

the Destruction of large Hawks and Owls in

Somerset county."

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assem-

bly of Maryland, That chapter forty-eight of the

acts of the General Assembly, passed at the January

session, eighteen hundred and seventy-eight, entitled

"An Act to Encourage the Destruction of large

Hawks and Owls in Somerset county," be and the

same is hereby repealed.

Effective.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall take

effect from the date of its passage.
