Chapter 375.
|

|
AN ACT to authorize the formation of corpora-
|
|
|
tion's for the purpose of manufacturing and
|
|
|
supplying hot water or steam for motive power,
|
|
|
heating, cooking or other useful applications in
|
|
|
the streets and public and private buildings of
|
|
|
any city, village or town in this State, under the
|
|
|
provisions of the act of eighteen hundred and
|
|
|
sixty-eight of the General Assembly of Mary-
|
|
|
land, chapter four hundred and seventy-one.
|
|
|
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
|
|
|
of Maryland, That corporations for the purpose
|
|
|
of manufacturing, furnishing and selling hot water
|
|
|
or steam for motive power, heating, cooking or
|
|
|
other useful applications in the streets and public
|
|
|
and private buildings of any city, village or town
|
How formed.
|
|
in this State, may be formed under the general
|
|
|
provisions of the act of eighteen hundred and
|
|
|
sixty-eight of the General Assembly of Maryland,
|
|
|
chapter four hundred and seventy-one; and such
|
|
|
corporation shall have the power to lay pipes or
|

conductors for conducting hot water or steam

pipes.

through the streets, avenues, lanes, alleys, squares
|
|
|
and highways in such city, village or town, with
|
|
|
the consent of the municipal authorities of said
|
|
|
city, town or village, and under such reasonable
|
|
|
regulations and conditions as they may prescribe.

|
|
SEC. 2. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
|
|
|
of Maryland, That all corporations for the manu-
|
|
|
facturing, furnishing and selling hot water or
|
|
|
steam for motive power, heating, cooking and
|
|
|
other useful applications in the street and public
|
|
|
and private buildings of any city, village or town
|
|
|
in this State, which may heretofore have been
|
|
|
formed in this State under the provisions of said
|

|
|
act of eighteen hundred and sixty-eight, chapter
|
|
|
four hundred and seventy-one, under the belief
|
|
|
and opinion that the same were authorized by
|
|
|
section nineteen of said act of eighteen hundred
|
|
|
and sixty-eight, be and the same are hereby
|
|
|
declared to be valid, and of the same force and
