Chapter 369.
AN ACT to repeal section one hundred and fifty-
nine of article one of the Code of Public Lo-
cal Laws, entitled "Allegany County," sub-title
" Sheriff," and to re-enact said section with
amendments.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assem-
bly of Maryland, That section one hundred and
fifty-nine of article one of the Code of Public Local
Laws, entitled "Allegany County," sub-title "Sheriff,"	Repealed and
as enacted by the act of eighteen hundred and	re-enacted.

the same is hereby repealed and re-enacted to read
as follows:
159. He shall be entitled to forty cents a day for
each prisoner committed to the jail of said county,
and to the following sums for taking convicts to the	What enti-
penitentiary, to wit : For a single convict, thirty-five	tled to
dollars; for two taken together, twenty-five dollars
each; when more than two, .twenty dollars each, to
be levied as other county charges.
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That the County Com-
missioners of Allegany county be and are hereby au-
thorized and empowered, in their discretion, to pay
the sheriff of said county for boarding prisoners in	Board of pris- oners.
