date with any railroad company or companies, either

in or out of this State, so that the capital stock of

under and by virtue of their respective charters.

SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That the Annapolis
|
|
 
|
and Baltimore Short Line Railroad Company shall
|
|

have the power to lease and operate any railroad or

railroads, either in or out of this State, for the pur-

pose of carrying on their business.

|
 
|
SEC. 4. And be it enacted, That the Annapolis

and Baltimore Short Line Railroad Company shall

have power and authority to increase their capital
stock not to exceed two millions of dollars, and to

|
issue mortgage bonds, with coupons attached, in
|
|
 
|
such amounts as they may deem advisable, for build-
|
|

ing, equipping and maintaining the said road, its
|
|
 
|
extensions and branches, and its steamships, steam-
|
|
 
|
boats and barges, and its pleasure resorts and pro-
|
|
 
|
duce market, the said mortgage bonds to be made
|
|
 
|
payable at such times and on such terms as the
|
|
 
|
directors may determine; and the said company shall
|
|
 
|
have also the power and authority, by their proper
|
|
 
|
officers, to mortgage the said road, its extensions
|
|

and branches, with all their personal and real estate,

roads.

franchises, rights and privileges, for the security and
|
|
 
|
payment of the said mortgage bonds and other ob-

|

ligations of the said company; and if they deem it

branches, and all or any of the property of the said

company to any other corporation, individual or

individuals, for such time and on such terms as they
|

may deem best for the interests of the said company.
|
|
 
|
SEC. 5. And be it enacted, That all acts or parts
|
|
 
|
of acts inconsistent with this act be and the same
|
|
 
|
are hereby repealed; that this act shall take effect
|
|

acts repealed.

Assembly reserves the right to alter, amend or repeal
|

this act at pleasure.
