SEC. 12. And be it further enacted, That the said
|

county commissioners are hereby further author-
|
 
|
ized and empowered to make and effect tempo-

rary loans for the use of the said county upon

seal of the office, for sums in all not exceeding

three thousand dollars at any one time, payable

with interest in less time than six months from

deliver the said bonds as collateral security there-
|

for, and they shall levy upon the assessable prop-
|
 
|
erty of the county taxes sufficient to satisfy the

same loans, or satisfy the same from taxes and

money collectable and due.

|
SEC. 18. And be it further enacted, That the said
|
 
|
county commissioners are hereby authorized and
|
 
|
empowered to issue bonds in renewal of such
|

of the loss and destruction of any bond outstand-

renewals shall endorse the number and date of

the original bond.

SEC. 14. And be it farther enacted, That it shall

not be lawful for the said treasurer, during his
|
 
|
continuance in office, to have, hold, purchase or
