SEC. 4. And be it enacted, That this act shall

AN ACT supplementary to chapter thirty-four of
|
 
|
the acts of the January session of the General
|
 
|
Assembly of eighteen hundred and fifty-four, and
|
 
|
to confirm an ordinance of the Mayor and City
|
 
|
Council of Baltimore, entitled "An ordinance
|
 
|
supplementary to an ordinance passed December
|
 
|
the twenty-seventh, eighteen hundred and fifty-
|
 
|
three,' entitled 'An ordinance to aid the Balti-
|
 
|
more and Ohio Railroad Company by a loan of
|
 
|
five millions of dollars to complete their road to
|
 
|
the city of Wheeling, fund their debts, and es-
|
 
|
pecially to lay a double track as far as Piedmont,
|
 
|
two hundred and eighteen miles from Baltimore,
|
 
|
and to confer upon the Mayor and City Council
|
 
|
and the Commissioners of Finance and the Reg-
|
 
|
ister of said city the powers necessary for carry-
|
 
|
ing into effect the provisions of said supplementary
|
 
|
ordinance.'"
