Chapter 174.

AN ACT to provide for the improvement of the

State House grounds and paving the circle around
|
 
|
the same.
|
 
|
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assem-
|
 
|
bly of Maryland, That the " Board of Public
|
 
|
Works" be, and it is hereby authorized and empow-
|
 
|
ered to contract with some competent person or per-
|
 
|
sons to grade and otherwise place in proper order
and condition the " State House grounds," and to
|

pave the circle surrounding the same with such

order.

stone or blocks as may to them seem best; and the
|
 
|
sum of fifteen thousand dollars, or so much thereof
|
 
|
as may be necessary, is hereby appropriated out of

ated for said work, to be paid by the Comptroller
|
 
|
of the State upon the order of said board.
|
 
|
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall
