Chapter 90.

 

AN ACT to legalize the erection of a Town Hall

 

and Offices by the East on Town Hall Company,

 

over the Market-house in the town of Easton, and

 

to authorize the Commissioners of said town to

 

convey, by lease, the privilege of maintaining said

 

hall and offices, by the payment of a nominal

 

rental by said Town Hall Company.

 

WHEREAS the Easton Town Hall Company, a

 

corporation duly incorporated under the laws of

 

the State of Maryland, has, by the permission and

 

consent of the Commissioners of the town of Easton,

 

erected a town hall and sundry offices over the

market-house in said town, and has agreed to pay a

 

nominal rental of one cent a year for said privilege;

 

and whereas the said Town Hall Company is de-

 

sirous of securing such title to the privileges, which

 

it now enjoys by the consent of the said Town Com-

 

missioners, as will enable it to legally hold and main-

 

tain, with undisputed right, said hall and offices.

 

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assem-

 

bly of Maryland, That the Commissioners of the

 

town of Easton be and they are hereby authorized

and empowered to convey to the President and

good and suf-
ficient deed.

Directors of the Easton Town Hall Company, by a

 

good and sufficient deed or conveyance, for a period

 

of ninety-nine years, renewable forever, the right to

 

maintain, hold and enjoy the town hall and offices

 

and appurtenances thereunto belonging, erected over

 

the market-house in the town of Easton, at and for

 

the rental of one cent annually, with the right of

 

ingress and egress to said hall and offices by the

 

said company, its officers and employees, as well as

 

its lessees and tenants, at all times, without moles-

 

tation or hindrance on the part of the said Commis-

 

sioners of Easton, or those acting by or under

 

their authority.

 

SEC. 2 And be it enacted, That this act shall
