Liber 4—photocopy of Liber "A B & H, transcribed from the old
record books A, B and H" in 1717; 437 pages; pagina-
tion from original books not copied; index; book is
divided, by blank spaces or starting of a new page, into
3 parts corresponding to the 3 books copied from: 1) pp.
1-57, containing warrants, demands, certificates, patents
and assignments from 1646 to 1650, which constitute
an extract of all land business scattered throughout
Liber A plus one entry at the very beginning which does
not appear in Liber A and probably comes from one of
the missing first 56 pages of that book 2) pp. 57-104,
containing entries from 1639 to 1644 of land transac-
tions, which in shortened form are the same entries as
those of pp. 28-152 of Liber F (not Liber B as the title
says) 3) pp. 105-436, containing demands, proofs of
rights, warrants, certificates, patents and assignments
from the years 1650 to 1655; presumably a copy of
original Liber H which according to the 1680 list
covered the years 1650 to 1655. ™ The last page of this
volume contains "an Abstract of the Certificates that
were in the Land Record Liber L", "an old thin Parch-
ment Covered Book", most of them being from the year
1657 or a few years earlier thus corresponding to the
Liber U of the 1680 list.
Liber 3—photocopy of a copy transcribed probably in 171780 from
original Liber Q; 81 480 numbered pages; pagination of
original not kept; index; entries for 1658; contains
