Also, by Mr. Stevens,

Leave was granted to the Committee on Judicial Proceed-
ings to introduce a bill entitled an Act authorizing the Mayor
and City Council of Baltimore, to provide for the inspection
of coal oil in the City of Baltimore, and for the appointment
of inspectors for the purpose.

On motion by Mr. Steiner,

Leave was granted to the Committee on Pensions to intro-
duce a bill granting pensions to Catharine Head and Magda-
lene Ramsburg, widows of soldiers of the War of 1812, now
resident of Frederick county, Md.

On motion by Mr. Walsh,

Leave was granted to the Committee on Judicial Proceed-
ings to introduce a bill to amend the License Law of this
State, relating to the retailing of liquor, by increasing the
rates of license, and for providing more stringent and effec-
tive means to prevent the violation of the law.

On motion by Mr. Phelps,

Leave was granted to Messrs Phelps, Cooper and Aydelotte
to introduce a bill to repeal Section 1, of an Act entitled an Act
for the relief of the Cambridge Female Seminary, chap. 403,
of the Acts 1874, and to re-enact the same with amend-
ments.

Mr. McCulloh from the Committee on Corporations, re-
ported favorably,

Senate bill entitled an Act to change the name of the
Trustees of the Roman Catholic Asylum for Widows, in Bal-
timore city, to that of Little Sisters of the Poor.

Which was read the first time.

Mr. Lloyd from the Committee on Finance, reported
favorably,

Senate bill entitled an Act for the relief of Rachael Wilson,
by refunding State apd County taxes erroneously paid.

Whith was read the first time.

Mr. Stevens from Select Committee, reported favorably,

Senate hill entitled an Act to provide for the opening and
extension of Camden street, in the City of Baltimore.

Which was read the first time, and ordered to be printed.
