FRIDAY, March 31, 1876.

Senate met at 11 A. M.

Prayer by Rev. Father Schwarz,

Present at the roll call the following Senators:

Messrs. President, Aydelotte, Bannon, Brewer, Dennis,
Freeman, Ford, Getty, Hepbron, Humphreys, Joyce, Knight,
Lee, Lawrence, Lloyd, McCulloh, Mudd, Newcomer, Phelps,
Stevens, Steiner, Suit, Walsh—23

Proceedings of yesterday read and approved.

The Clerk of the House of Delegates appeared and re-
turned the following bills :

Senate bill entitled an Act to incorporate the purchasers of
the Kent County Railroad Company, and to allow said Com-
pany to be consolidated with the Smyrna and Delaware Bay
Railroad Company.

Endorsed, ''Passed by yeas and nays."

Also,

Senate bill entitled an Act to confer additional powers
upon the County Commissioners of Garrett county.

Endorsed, "Passed by yeas and nays."

Also,

Senate bill entitled an Act to authorize the County Com-
missioners of Queen Anne's county to levy a sum of money
as a pension for Solomon Tate of said county.

Endorsed, "Passed by yeas and nays."

Also,

Seriate bill entitled an Act to enable Frances L. McDonald,
and Mary J. Franklin, of England, to take and hold certain
lands in Charles county, which were held by Frederick Daw-
son in trust.

Endorsed, "Passed by yeas and nays."

Also,

Senate bill entitled an Act to incorporate the Savage
Manufacturing Company of Howard county, Maryland.

Endorsed, "Passed by yeas and nays."

Also,

Senate bill to repeal Sections 107, 108, 109, 110, 111 and
112, of chapter 4.83, of the Acts of 1874, relating to "Reve-
nue and Taxes," und to re-enact the same with amend-
ments.

Endorsed, "Passed by yeas and nays with proposed
amendment:."
