Sheriffs of the several counties at least 48 hours before the
opening of the polls at the election next ensuing."

Amendment to 19th Section, strike out "one day," and
insert "two days" in lieu thereof, just before the words
"after the close of the polls."

Section 20. line 2, strike out the word "two," and insert
the word "five."

Section 20, line 4, strike out the words "one hundred and
fifty," and insert the words "five hundred."

Amend Section 21, after the words "duties upon him," by
inserting "or it any Officer of Registration shall enter upon
the list of registered voters the name of a voter, or strike
from said list the name of any person already entered thereon,
except at the time and place prescribed by this Act."

"Strike out Sec. 22."

Insert, after the word "office," in 7th line, the words "for
the purposes mentioned in this Section."

Mr. Gorman submitted the following message :

BY THE SENATE,

March 25, 1876.
Gentlemen of the House of Delegates:

We have have received from your Honorable Body, Senate
bill entitled an Act for the revision of the lists of registered
voters in this State, with sundry amendments, the Senate
respectfully non-concurs in said amendments, and ask your
Honorable Body to recede from the same.

AUGUSTUS GASSAWAY,

Secretary.

Which was read, assented to, and sent to House of Dele-
gates.

On motion by Mr. Gorman,
The Senate at 2.30 P. M., took a recess until 8. P. M.
