Said bill, as amended, was then read the second time.
Mr. Knight, from Select Committee, (by unanimous con-
sent,) reported fovorably,

House bill entitled an Act to repeal Section 1, of chapter
388, of the Acts of 1874, relating to fish in Elk and North-
east rivers, and to re-enact the same with amendments.

Which was read the second time.

Mr. Ford, from Select Committee, (by unanimous consent,)
reported favorably,

House bill to empower the Trustees of the Associated
Methodist Church in Centreville, or a majority of them, to
convey a certain lot of ground in said town to the Trustees of
the Methodist Protestant Church at Centreville, in Queen
Anne's county.

Which was read the second time.

The Senate proceeded to the consideration of the bill here-
tofore under consideration for the protection of sheep hus-
bandry.

Mr. Gorman moved to exempt "Howard county."
Which was adopted.

Mr. Phelps moved to exempt "Dorchester county."
Mr. Humphreys moved to exempt "Wicomico county."
Mr. Aydelotte moved to exempt "Worcester county."
Which were adopted.

Said bill, as amended, was then read the third time and
rejected for want of a Constitutional majority by yeas and
as follows :

AFFIRMATIVE.
Messrs. President, Lloyd.

Brewer, McCulloh,
Dennis, Mudd,
Getty, Newcomer,
Joyce, Phelps,
Lawrence, 8uit—12.

NEGATIVE.
Messrs. Aydelotte, Stevens—2.

On motion by Mr. Lawrence,

The vote by which said bill failed to receive a Constitution-
al majority.

Was reconsidered, and said bill ordered to lie over until
Evening Session.

The hour of 1 o'clock having arrived, the President an-
nounced the order of the day to be the following House reso-
lutions and bill relating to the Baltimore and Ohio Railroad.
