NEGATIVE—None.

Mr. McCulloh, from the Committee on Corporations, re-
ported favorably,

House bill to change the name of the District of Columbia,
Upper Marlboro' and Hill's Landing Turnpike Company, to
that of the District of Columbia and Upper Marlboro' Turn-
pike Company.

Which was read the second time.

Mr. Getty, from Committee on Pensions, reported favora-

bly,

Senate bill entitled an Act to appropriate a sum of money
to pay William R. Thompson, of Anne Arundel county, for
services rendered in the war of 1812, and to place his name
on the pension roll.

Being upon its second reading,

Mr. Joyce submitted the following amendment:

Insert "Col Nathaniel Duke, of Commodore Barney's In-
fantry."

Which was adopted.

On motion by Mr. Bannon,
The vote by which said amendment was adopted,

Was reconsidered, when,

Mr. Joyce withdrew said amendment.

On motion by Mr. Bteiner,

Said bill was ordered to lie over and be made the order of
the day for Friday, March 31st, at 12 o'clock, by yeas and
nays as follows:
