Senate bill entitled an Act to add a new Section to Article
26, of the Code of Public General Laws, relating to corpora-
tions, so as to provide a more summary remedy against com-
panies incorporated by this State, with authority to transport
persons or property for hire.

Endorsed, "Passed by yeas and nays."

On motion by Mr. Brewer,
The Senate at 10.30 P. M. adjourned.

Proceedings of yesterday read and approved.

Mr. Stevens presented the memorial of Andrew Reid and
25 other merchants of Baltimore city, in regard to the assess-
ment bill.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on Finance.

On motion by Mr. Bannon,

The rules were suspended so as to grant leave to the Com-
mittee on Finance to introduce a bill to authorize the Far-
mers' National Bank of Annapolis, to pay to the heirs of
Samuel Cover, certain funds in said bank,
