first aforementioned shall be paid to Mayer, Fischer and
Cross, the said examiners shall certify under their hands to
the Comptroller, that they have duly examined the said
work, and that it is a faithful compilation of the Public Gen-
eral and Public Local Laws of this State, in lull, at the end
of this Session of the Legislature, and thereupon the said
Comptroller shall draw his warrant on the Treasurer, in fa-
vor of said Mayer, Fischer and Cross, for the sum of sixteen
thousand dollars, and also his three several warrants, each
for the sum of five hundred dollars, in favor of each of the
three examiners aforesaid.

Which was adopted.

Mr. Bannon submitted the following amendments :

AMENDMENTS PROPOSED.

Add "Provided that no money shall be paid until said
Code is submitted to and examined by the Legislature at its
next Session."

Sec. 2, line 9, strike out "16,000" and insert "32,00."
Strike out "1,000" and insert "200."
Which were adopted.
Mr. Dennis submitted the folllowing amendment:

"Strike out Section 2."
Which was adopted.
