750 JOURNAL OF PROCEEDINGS [Mar. 27,

Proceedings of Saturday's Session read and approved.

Mr. Lloyd presented the following memorials :

Memorial of Edward T. Dodd and others, citizens of Talbot
county, praying the repeal of the Local Option Law of said
county, passed at the January Session, 1874, chap. 453 ; also
the License Law, passed at the same Session, chapter 439.

Similar memorial of Joseph Harris and twenty others, citi-
zens of said county.

Which were read and referred to the Committee on Finance.

Mr. Stevens presented the memorial of James M. Ander-
son, Collector of State taxes for the city of Baltimore, pray-
ing the payment of a commission due him on moneys paid
into the Treasury as State taxes.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on Finance.
On motion by Mr. McCulloh,

The rules were suspended, so as to grant leave to the Com-
mittee on Corporations, to introduce a bill entitled an Act to
repeal Section 5, chapter 248, of the Code of Public General
Laws, passed January Session, 1868, entitled an Act to in-
corporate the North Branch Lumber and Boom Company,
and to re-enact the same with amendments,
