changes, and procuring the assent in writing of said Board.
This statement so asserted to, shall be held by the Weigh-
master as his authority for such additions or changes."

House bill entitled an Act to provide for the regulation of
the sale of spirituous and fermented liquors in Cecil county.

Which was read the second time.

On motion by Mr. Stevens,

Senate bill entitled an Act to regulate gas metres in the
city of Baltimore.

Was taken up and referred to the Committee on Judicial
Proceedings,

On motion by Mr. Stevens,

Senate bill entitled an Act to compensate the Auditor of
the Superior Court of Baltimore city and witnesses in the
case of the State vs. the City of Baltimore for adjusting and
taking testimony in the same,

Was taken up and the further consideration of said bill in-
definitely postponed.

Mr. McCulloh, from the Committee on Corporations, re-
ported favorably,

Senate bill entitled an Act to incorporate the Cumberland
and Savage River Canal, Railroad and Slack-Water Naviga-
tion Company,

With the following

PROPOSED AMENDMENT.

Add to end of Sec. 1, "Provided that nothing in this Act
shall be construed to exempt the property of this corporation
from taxation.

Which was adopted.

Said bill, as amended, was then read the second time and
ordered to be engrossed for a third reading.
