740 JOURNAL OF PROCEEDINGS [Mar. 25,

Mr. Ford submitted the following message:

BY THE SENATE,

March 25th, 1876.
Gentlemen of the House of Delegates:

We respectfully ask your Honorable Body to return to the
Senate for further consideration the House bill relating to the
Crier of the Circuit Court for Queen Anne's county.

AUGUSTUS GASSAWAY,

Secretary.

Which was read, assented to and sent to the House of
Delegates.

Mr. Walsh, from Committee on Finance, reported favora-

blyy,

House bill entitled an Act to appropriate $7,000, or
so much thereof as may be necessary tor the purchasing of a
suitable lot, and the erection thereon of scales adapted to the
weighing of hay, straw and live stock,

With the following proposed amendments:
AMENDMENT PROPOSED.

Line 3 of title, after the word "hay," insert the word
"and," and strike out the words "and live stock."

Sec. 1, line 4, after "hay," insert "and," and strike out
"and live stock."

Sec. 2, line 36, strike out after the word "allowed," the
balance of the Section.

Which were adopted.

Said bill, as amended, was then read the second time.

Mr. Lloyd, from Committee on Finance, reported favora-
bly the following bills
House bill entitled an Act to refund to Zadok Marshall,
late Collector of Worcester county, the sum of $75.22, by
him heretofore paid into the Treasury.

House bill entitled an Act to refund to J. Frank Ford,
Clerk of the Circuit Court for St. Mary's county, a sum of
money erroneously paid into the Treasury.

Which were read the second time.

Mr. Stevens, from Committee on Judicial Proceedings, re-
ported unfavorably,

House bill entitled an Act to authorize the Clerk of the
Circuit Court of Talbot county, to enter up judgment by
confession when the plaintiff makes oath that the considera-
tions are just and true as stated.
