Mr. Dennis submitted the following amendments:

Section 12, line 5, strike out "fifty two thousand," and
insert ''fifteen thousand."

6th line, insert "fifteen thousand," instead of "$52,000."

Mr. Lloyd submitted tho following amendment to the
amenJment.

Insert "Twenty,' instead of "fifteen."

Which was adopted.

The Clerk of the House of Delegates appeared and deliv-

House bill entit!ed an Act for the benefit of Lawson Rid-
dle, Nicholas Harding and Hazel Hobbs, of Howard county.

Which was read the first time and referred to the Commit-
tee on Finance.

House bill entitled an Act to provide for the settlement of
the claims of the Clerks of Tobacco Warehouse No. 1.

Which was read the first time and referred to the Com-
mittee on Finance.

House bill entitled an Act to incorporate the Uniontown
and Linwood Turpike Company of Carroll county.

Which was read the first time and referred to the Com-
mittee on Corporations.

House bill entitled an Act relating to the laying off of
streets in Baltimore county, adjoining Baltimore city.

Which was read the first time and referred to Messrs.
Freeman, Gorman and Lee.
