Which was read, asseated to aad sent to the House of
Delegates.

The Clerk of the House of Delegates appeared and de-
livered the following bills:

House bill entitled an Act to authorize the Mayor and City
Council of Baltimore to subscribe to the capital stock of the
Baltimore, Chesapeake and Delaware Bay Railroad Company,
or to endorse the bonds of said Company.

Which was read the first time and referred to the Com-
mittee on Finance.

Also, returned,

Senate bill entitled an Act to amend the charter of the town
of Church Hill, Queen Anne's county.

Endorsed, "Passed by yeas and nays with proposed amend-
ment:"

AMENDMENT PROPOSED.

Strike out the word "April," and insert "June,' wherever
it occurs.

Which was concurred in, and said bill passed by yeas and
nays as follows:

ington, to settle her account as guardian with George P.
Brewington, a minor.

Senate bill entitled an Act to authorize and empower the
Governor to appoint an additional Justice of the Peace in
Cavetown District, in Washington county.

Endorsed, "Passed by yeas and nays."

Also,

Senate bill entitled an Act for the appointment of a Board
of Commissioners for the survey of the harbor of Baltimore,
and the establishment of pier and bulkhead lines, and ap-
propriating a sum of money to pay the expenses thereof.
