11, of the Code of Public General Laws, entitled "Attorneys
at Law and Attorneys in fact," as amended by chapter 91,
of the Acts of 1872, and to re-enact the same with amendments.

Senate bill entitled an Act to repeal Section 3, of Article
37, of the Code of Public General Laws, title "Evidence,"
and to enact the following in lieu thereof.

Senate bill entitled an Act to incorporate the Savage Man-
afactnring Company, of Howard county, Md.

Senate bill entitled an Act to add a new Section to Article
26, of the Code of Public General Laws, relating to Corpora-
tions, so as to provide a more summary remedy against com-
panies incorporated by the State with authority to transport
persons or property for hire.

Senate bill entitled an Act to repeal Section 2. of Article
37, of the Code of Public General Laws, title "Evidence,"
sub-title "Competency of Witnossess," as enacted by chapter
385, of the Acts of the General Assembly of 1874, and to
re-enact the same with amendments.

Senate bill entitled an Act to require the Comptroller to
revise the settlement heretofore made with Horace Resley,
late Clerk of Allegany county, and to pay to said Resley such
amount as may be found due him on such revision.

Senate bill entitled an Act to regulate the-gas metres in,
the city of Baltimore.

The Clerk of the House of Delegates appeared and deliver-
ed the following bills:

House bill entitled an Act to repeal Sections 31, 34 and 36,
of Art. 56, of the Code of Public General Laws and to amend
and re-enact the same.

Which was read the first time and referred to the Commit-
tee on Finance.

House bill entitled an Act to authorize the County Com-
missioners of Baltimore county, to pay Samuel R. Griffith,
his per-diem as Judge of the Orphans' Court of said county,
during his absence from the session of said Court, on account
of sickness.

Which was read the first time and referred to Messrs.
Freeman, Newcomer and Duke.

House bill entitled an Act appropriating certain sums of
money to Thomas J. Donaldson and James Revell, for legal
services rendered the State.

Which was read the first time and referred to the Commit-
tee on Finance.

House bill entitled an Act to refund to J; Frank Ford,
Clerk of the Circuit Court for St. Mary's county, a sum of
money erroneously paid into the Treasury.
