Which was read the first time and referred to the Commit-
tee on Finance.

House bill entitled an Act to add an additional Section to
be numbered 220, to Article 26, of the Code of Public Gener-
al Laws, title "Corporations," as enacted by chapter 471 of
the Acts of 1868.

Which was read the first time and referred to the Commit-
tee on Corporations.

House bill entitled an Act to prevent the sale of spirituous
or fermented liquors, within a distance of two and a-half
miles of the Fair Grounds of the Kent County Agricultural
Society, on the days of the Annual exhibitions of said society,
and to give said society full powers to appoint a special police
during said exhibition.

Which was read the first time and referred to Messrs.
Hepbron, Ford and Bannon.

Also, returned,

Senate bill entitled an Act regulating the working and
proper ventilation of coal mines in Allegany and Garrett
counties, and providing for the appointment of an Inspector
for said mines.

Endorsed, "Passed by yeas and nays with proposed amend-
ments."
