On motion by Mr. Brewer, it was

Ordered, That Mr. A, P. Mercer, Page, be excused from
duty on account of sickness.
On motion by Mr. Stevens,

Leave was granted to the Committee on Judicial Proceed-
ings to introduce the following bills:

A bill to repeal Section 2, of the Act of 1874, chapter 604,
in relation to inspection of coal oil, and to re-enact the same
with amendments.

A bill to repeal Section 23. ef Article 75, of the Code of
Public General Laws, title ''Pleadings, Practice and Pro-
cess," sub-title "Practice," and to re-enact the same with
amendments.

On motion by Mr. Gorman,

Leave was granted to the Committee on Corporations to
introduce the following bills:

A bill to repeal Section 29, of Act of 1868, chapter 471,
entitled an Act to repeal Article 26, Code of Public General
Laws, and to enact a substitute therefor, and to repeal Sec-
tion 22, Article 16, Sections 99 to 103, of same Article, and
Sections 33 to 43, of Article 88, of Code of Public General
Laws, and re-enact the same.

A bill to add additional Sections to an Act to repeal Ar-
ticle 26, Code of Public General Laws, and to enact a substi-
tute therefor, and to repeal Sections 99 to 123, of the same
Article, and Sections 33 to 43, of Article 88, Code of Public
General Laws, passed January Session, 1868, chapter 471.

On motion by Mr. Steiner,

Leave was granted to the Committee on Judicial Pro-
ceedings to introduce a bill entitled an Act to provide for the
collection and preservation of statistics of crime and pauper-
ism in the State.

On motion by Mr. Humphreys,

Leave was granted to the Committee on Judicial Proceed-
ings to introduce a bill to amend Article 51, Section 45, of
the Code of Public General Laws, title "Justices of the
Peace," also Article 18, Sections 23 and 24, of Code of Pub-
lic General Laws, title "Clerks of Courts."

On motion by Mr. Walsh,

Leave was granted to the Committee on Finance to intro-
duce a bill for the purpose of appointing a commission to re-
vise the license system of this State, and to report to the
General Assembly at its next session.

On motion by Mr. Steiner,

Leave was granted to the Committee on Judicial Proceed-
