On motion by Mr. Steiner,
The Senate «t 10.30 P. M., adjourned.

WEDNESDAY, March 22d, 1876,
Senate met at 11 A. M.
Prayer by Rev. Mr. Amos.
Present at the roll call the following Senators:

Messrs. President, Aydelitte, Bannon, Brewer, Cooper,
Duke, Dennis, Freeman, Ford, Getty, Gorman, Hepbron,
Humphreys,Joyce, Knight, Lee, Lawrence, Lloyd, McCulloh,
Mudd, Newcomer, Phelps, Stevens, Steiner, Suit, Walsh—26.

Proceedings of yesterday read and approved.

Mr. Stevens presented the memorial of the Maryland
Academy of Sciences in relation to inspection of coal oil.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on Judicial
Proceedings.

Also, by Mr. Stevens,

The memorial of Jno. H. B. Latrobe and S. M. Shoemaker,
United States Centennial Commissioners for the State of
Maryland, in relation to the removal of paintings, &c., to
the Centennial Exposition at Philadelphia,

Which was read and referred to the Committee on Finance.
