Which was read and referred to the Committee on Fi-
nance.

Mr. Duke presented the memorial of J. T. Marsh and
others, citizens of Calvert county, praying the passage of a

General Local Option Law.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on Fi-
nance.

On motion by Mr. Stevens,

Lrave was granted to the Committee on Corporations to
introduce a bill entitled an Act to repeal Section 119, of Ar-
ticle 26, of the Code of Public General Laws title "Corpora-
tions," sub-title ''Election of Bridges," and to re-enact the
same with amendments.

On motion by Mr. Freeman,

Leave was granted to Messrs. Freeman, Newcomer and
Dnke, to introduce a bill to repeal chap 371, of the laws of
1872, and Section 63 to 77 inclusive,'of the Code of Public
Local Laws of Baltimore county, Article 3, entitled "County

Commissioners," and insert, the following in lieu thereof.

On motion by Mr. Bannon,

Leave was granted to the Committee on Judicial Proceed-
ings to introduce a bill to regulate the admission of attor-
neys to practice law in the Courts of this State.

On motion by Mr. Aydelotte,

Leave was granted to Messrs. Aydelotte, Dennis and Hum-
phreys, to introduce a bill to authorize the County Commis-
sionersof Somerset and Worcester counties, to purchuse the
Pocomoke Bridge Stock, if such purchase can be made with-
out loss to the tax-payers of the two counties.

Mr. Stevens, from the Committee on Judicial Proceedings,
reported favorably, the following bills:

Senate bill entitled an Act making judgment of Justices
of the Peace in Garrett county, liens on real and leasehold
property.

Senate bill entitled an Act to authorize appropriations by
the Mayor and City Council of Baltimore, in mid for the ben-
efit of corporations duly charged with the custody of juvenile
delinquents.

Senate bill entitled an Act to repeal Sec. 3 of Art. 11, of
the Code of Public General Laws, entitled "Attorneys-at-
Law and Attorneys-in-Fact," as amended by ch. 91 of the
Acts of 1872, and to re-enact the same with amendments.

Senate bill entitled an Act to repeal See. 38 of Act. 75, of
the Code of Public General Laws, title "Pleadings, Practice
