Art. 4, of the Code of Public Local Laws of the City of Bal-
timore, sub-title ''Taxes and Loans," as sub-Section 873. A,
Was read the second time and ordered to ba engrossed for
a third reading.

House bill entitled an Act to prevent in St. Mary's county,
the removal or improper disposition of property that has
been levied upon,

Was read the third time and passed by yens and nays as fol-
lows :

AFFIRMATIVE.

Messrs. Aydelotle, Humphreys,
Bannon, Joyce,
Cooper, Lee,
Freeman, Lawrence,
Get ty, Stevens,
Gorman, Suit,
Hepbron, Walsh—14.

NEGATIVE—Mr. Steiner—1.

Said bill was then returned to the House of Delegates.
Mr. Gorman submitted the following mesage:

BY THE SENATE,
Annapolis, March 20th, 1876.
Gentlemen of the House of Delegates :

We have received your message returning House Bill. No.
126, (beins; the General Appropriation Bill for 1876,) re-
questing the Senate to recede from its amendment to said bill.
After consideration .the Senate has resolved to adhere to its
amendment, and we respectfully request a committee of con-
ference to take into consideration the disagreeing votes of the
two Houses, and have appointed as managers on the part of
the Senate, Messrs. Gorman, Lloyd and Getty.
By order:

AUGUSTUS GASSAWAY,

Secretary.

Which was read, assented to, and sent to the House of Del-
egates.

House bill entitled an Act to authorize the Comptroller to
refund to Edgar Plumer, Hiram G. Dudley, David Riley, H.
D. M. Howard, L. C. Graves, Charles R. Hamilton, William
Hoffman and J. F. Marshall, the sum of forty dollars each,
erroneously paid into the Treasury,

Was read the third time and passed by yeas and nays as
follower
