600 JOURNAL OF PROCEEDINGS [Mar. 20,

On motion by Mr. Gorman,

Leave was granted to the Committee on .Judicial Proceed-
ings, to introduce a bill to add a new Section to Art 26, of
the Cods of Public General Laws, relating to corporations,
providing for a more summary process against Companies
incorporated in this State, with authority to transport per-
sons or property tor hire

Also, by Mr. Gorman,

Leave was granted to the Committee on Corporations, to
introduce a bill to incorporate the Savage Manufacturing
Company

On motion by Mr Harman,

Leave was granted to Messrs. Bannon, Humphrey and
Lawtence, to introduce a bill authorizing and directing the
County Commissioners to widen and straighten the county
road from Hooversville to Odenton, in Anne Aru' del county.

On motion by Mr. Joyce,

Leave was granted to the Baltimore City Senators, to in-
troduce a bill to regulate gas-metres in the City of Baltimore
On motion by Mr. Stevens,

Leave was granted to the Committee on Finance, to intro
duce a bill entitled an Act to appropriate a sum of money for
the Maryland Inebriate Asylum.

Also, by Mr. Stevens,

Leave was granted to the Baltimore City Senators, to in-
troduce a bill entitled an Act to authorize appropriations by
the Mayor and City Council of Baltimore, tor the benefit of
corporations duly charged with the custody of juvenile de-
linquents.

Mr. Walsh, from the Committee on Public Buildings, re-
ported favorably,

Senate bill entitled an Act to appropriate a sum of money
for the repair and improvement of the State House.

Which was read the first time.

Mr. Gorman, from the Committee on Finance, reported
favorably.

Senate bill entitled an Act to repeal Section 4 of Art. 81,
of the Code of Public General Laws, as the same was enacted
by ch. 483 of the Acts of 1874, and to enact a new Section in
lieu of the Section so repealed.

Which was read the first time

Mr. Joyce, from Select Committee, reported favorably,

Senate bill entitled an Act to regulate gas-metres in the
City of Baltimore.

Which was read the first time.
