Mr. Aydelotte, from Select Committee, reported favorably,

Senate bill entitled an Act to repeal Section 50, of Article

28, of the Code Supplement of 18f8, as enacted by Section 3,

of chapter 299, of the Acts of 1868, so far as the said Section

relates to Worcester county.

Which was read the first time.

Mr. Getty, from Select Committee, reported favorably the
following bills:

1st. House bill entitled an Act to authorize George L.
Michael, of Garrett county, to erect two gates on the public
road in said county, leading through the farm of the said
George L. Michael.

2d. House bill entitled an Act to repeal Section 8, of Arti-
cle 1. of the C«de of Public Local Laws, title ''Allegany
county," sub-title "Oakland," and to re-enact the same with
amendments.

Which were read the second time.

Mr. Stevens, from Select Committee, reported favorably,

Home bill entitled an Act to authorize the Mayor and
City Council of Baltimore to issue the bonds of the City of
Baltimore to an amount not exceeding the sum of $750,000,
to provide means for extending and improving the Court
House in said city.

Which was read the second time.

Senate bill entitled an Act regulating the working and
proper ventilation of coal mines in Allegany and Garrett
counties, and providing for the appointment of an inspector

for said mines.

Was read the second time and ordered to be engrossed for
a third reading.

On motion by Mr. Gorman,

The rules were suspended so as to take up the following
bills:

1st. Senate bill entitled an Act to provide for the General
Valuation and Assessment of Property in this State.

Which was read the third time, and,
On motion by Mr. Gorman,

Was ordered to«lie over and be made the order of the day
for to-morrow, Tuesday, at 12 o'clock.

2d. House bill entitled an Act making appropriations for
the support of the State Government for the year ending 31st

of December, 1876.

Being upon its third reading,

Mr. Brewer submitted the following amendment:
