Mr. Lloyd, from Committee on Finance, reported favora-
bly,

Senate bill entitled an Act to repeal ch. 466, of the Acts of
1870, entitled "an Act to distribute the Academic and High
School Fund of Carroll county, to the Western Maryland
College and Manchester Academy in Carroll county," and to
enact a substitute therefor.

Which was read the first time.

Mr. McCulloh, from Committee on Corporations, reported
favorably,

House bill entitled an Act to repeal Sec. 30, of chap. 44,
of the Acts of 1864, entitled a supplement to the Act entitled
an Act to jncorporate the Frederick and Emmittsburg Turn-
pike Company, passed December Session, 1344, chapter 136,
and to re-enact the same with amendments.

Which was read the second time.

Also favorably, the following bills:

First Senate bill entitled an Act to repeal Section 56, of
an Act passed at the January Session, 1866, title "Kent
county," sub-title "Chestertown," and to re-enact the same
with amendments.

Second. Senate bill entitled an Act to repeal and re-enact
with amendments Section 46, of Article 14, of the Public
Local Laws of 1868, title "Kent county," sub-title "Ches-
tertown."

Which were read the first time.

Also, unfavorably, the following bills:

First. House bill entitled an Act to authorize and require
the Attorney General to institute proceedings to forfeit the
charter of the Gas-light Company of Baltimore.

Mr. Stevens moved to substitute said bill for the unfavora-
ble report.

Which was determined in the negative.

The question recurring upon the adoption of the unfavora-
ble report,

It was adopted.

Second. House bill entitled an Act to authorize and re-
quire the Attorney General to institute proceedings to forfeit
the charter of the Peoples' Gas Company of Baltimore.

Mr. Stevens moved to substitute said bill for the unfavora-
ble report.

Which was determined in the negative.

The question recurring upon the adoption of the unfavora-
ble report.

It was adopted.
