On motion by Mr. Hepbron,

Leave was granted to the Committee on Corporations to
introduce a bill to incorporate the purchasers of the Kent
County Railroad Company, and to authorize the same to
be consolidated with the Smyrna and Delaware Bay Railroad
Company.

On motion by Mr. Cooper,

The rules were suspended so as take up

House bill entitled an Act to repeal chapter 221 of the
Acts of 1874, regulating the measurement of oysters.

Being upon its third reading,

Mr. Dennis submitted the following amendment :
AMENDMENT PROPOSED.

Section 3, last line, strike out the words "on any steam-
boats which are."

Which was adopted.

Said bill was then read the third time and passed by yeas
and nays as follows, with proposed amendments :

Mr. Freeman, (by unanimous consent,) submitted the fol-
lowing,

Ordered, That the Finance Committee report to this House
on or before Tuesday March 21st, at 12 o'clock, M., the fol-
lowing bills now in their hands:

Bill to enable the qualified voters of Baltimore county, to
decide by vote, whether intoxicating liquor shall be sold in
said county.

Bill to prevent the sale of intoxicating liquor near Mount
Vernon, Washington and Warrea Factories, and the village
of Hereford in Baltimore eounty.

Which was adopted.
