Mr. Lawrence, from Select Committee, reported favorably,
Senate bill entitled an Act to extend the jurisdiction of
Justices of the Peace to cases of petty larceny.
With the following proposed amendments :

AMENDMENTS PROPOSED;

In title, after the word "Peace," insert "in and for St..
Mary's, Baltimore, Garrett, Calvert, Washington, Allegany
and Charles counties."

In Sec. 1, line 2, after the word "for," strike out all to
the word "shall," in line 4, and insert "St. Mary's, Balti-
more, Garrett, Calvert, Washington, Allegany and Charles
counties."

Sec. 2, line 8, strike out all after the word "discretion,"

Sec. 2, line 3, after the word "any," strike out the word
"county," and insert "of the above mentioned counties."

Which were adopted.

Said bill as amended, was then read the second time and
ordered to be engrossed for a third reading.

Mr. Humphreys, from Select Committee, reported fa-
vorably.

House bill entitled an Act to protect fish in the waters of
the Wicomico river, from non-residents.

Which was read the second time.

Mr. Bannon, from Select Committee, reported favora-
bly the following bills :

House bill entitled an Act to add sub-Sections to Art. 2,
of the Code of Public Local Laws, title "Anne Arundel
county," sub-title "Annapolis," to provide a Board of Police
Commissioners for Annapolis city.

House bill entitled an Act to authorize the County Com-
missioners of Anne Arundel county, to construct a bridge
over Beard's creek, in said county, and to levy a sum of
money for said purpose

Which were read the second time.

Also, favorably,

Senate bill entitled au Act to incorporate the Cumberland
and Savage River Canal Railroad and Slack Water Naviga-
tion Company.

Which was read the first time, and
On motion by Mr. Bannon,

Was referred to the Committee on Corporations.

Also, favorably,

Senate bill entitled an Act to appropriate a sum of money
