Said Committee was discharged from the further considera-
tion of said order, and

On motion by Mr. Stevens,
Said order was referred to the Committee on Finance.

Mr. Stevens, from the Committee on Judicial Proceedings,
reported unfavorably,

House bill entitled an Act to legalize the Revised Code of
Public General and Public Local Laws of Maryland, prepared
by Lewis Mayer, Louis C. Fisher and E. J. D. Cross.
On motion by Mr. Stevens,

Said bill was substituted for the unfavorable report, and
On motion by Mr. Stevens,

Said bill was ordered to lie over.

And favorably,

House bill entitled an Act to require the County Commis-
sioners of St. Mary's county, to report annually to the grand
jury of the September Term of the Circuit Court for said
county a statement of the expenses of the county.

Which was read the second time.

Also, favorably,

Senate bill entitled an Act to protect the rights of parties
to suits at law upon negotiable instruments, where, from any
cause the same cannot be produced and surrendered.

Which was read the first time.

Mr. Humphreys, from the Committee on Corporations, re-
ported favorably,

House bill entitled an Act to incorporate the Elkton and
Delaware Junction Railroad Company.

Which was read the second time.

Mr. McCulloh, from Committee on Corporations, reported
favorably,

Senate bill entitled an Act to incorporate the Washington
city and Atlantic Coast Railroad Company.

Which was read the first time.

Also, favorably,

House bill entitled an Act to incorporate the Stock Ex-
change in the City of Baltimore.

Which was read the second time.

Mr. Knight, from Select Committee, reported favorably,

House bill entitled an Act to authorize the Coanty Com-
missioners of Cecil county to fund certain indebtedness of the
Board of County School Commissioners of Cecil county, by
issuing bonds therefor, and to levy a tax for the payment of
the same.
