Mr. Dennis submitted the following amendment to the
amendment just adopted.

AMENDMENT PPOPOSED,

Add at the end of same,

"Nor to the sale of real estate that shall be negotiated or
made by a person at the request of the owner of the real
estate."

Which was adopted.

Mr. Stevens submitted the following amendments :
AMENDMENTS PROPOSED.

Section 1, line 22, strike out "one hundred," and in-
sert "fifty."

Section 1, line 9, Strike out the word "five," and insert
"one."

Which were adopted.

Said bill, as amended, was then read the second time.

The question being upon the engrossment of the bill for a
third reading.

It was determined in the negative.

Senate bill entitled an Act to repeal Sections 1 to 13, (both
inclusive,) of Article 44, of the Code of Public General
Laws, title "Maryland Hospital," and to enact in lieu
thereof, the following, to be arranged as Sections of said Ar-
ticle of the Code.

Being upon its second reading,

On motion by Mr. Stevens,

Was ordered to lie over and be made the order of the day
for Tuesday, March 14th, at 12 o'clock.

Senate bill entitled an Act to add an additional Section to
Article 22, of the Code of Public General Laws, title ' 'Comp-
troller," relating to claims against insolvent collectors and
other officers.

Being upon its second reading,

Mr. Duke submitted the following amendment:
AMENDMENT PROPOSED,

Section —, line 1, strike out "certificate," and insert,
"affidavit."

Which was adopted.

Said bill as amended, was then read the second time and
ordered to be engrossed for a third reading.

Senate bill entitled an Act to repeal chapter 325, of the
Acts of 1872, entitled an Act to repeal Section 59, of the
Act of 1868, chapter 471, entitled an Act to reptal Article
26, of the Code of Public General Laws, and to enact a sub-
