29, of the Code of Public General Laws, enacted by chapter
320, of the Acts of 1874, and to amend and re-enact the same.

Senate bill entitled an Act to appoint an additional Jus-
tice of the Peace for the State of Maryland, in and for Som-
erset county, and the Eighth Election District thereof.

Senate bill entitled an Act to repeal and re-enact with
amendments certain Sections of the Acts of 1872 and 1874,
relating to the times for holding the terms of the Circuit
Court for Garrett county.

Senate bill entitled an Act to confer additional power upon
the County Commissioners of Garrett county, by adding the
following Section to chapter 212, passed January Session,
1872,

Being upon its second reading,

Mr. Getty submitted the following amendment:
AMENDMENT PROPOSED.

Section 1, line 15, insert the word "three," before the
word "years."

Which was adopted.

Said bill, as amended, was then read the second time and
ordered to be engrossed for a third reading.

Senate bill entitled an Act to appropriate a sum of money
to purchase a stand of colors for the Association of Mexican
Tolnnteers of Maryland.

Was read the second time.

The question being upon the engrossment of the bill.

It was determined in the negative.

Senate bill entitled an Act to amend the charter of the
Citizens' Security and Land Company, of Baltimore city, by
enlarging its powers.

Being upon its second reading,

On motion by Mr. Suit,

Was ordered to be printed.

Senate bill entitled an Act to require a license for any per-
son who shall exercise the business of a real estate broker, or
in any way hold themselves out for such business purposes.

Being upon its second reading,

Mr. Stevens submitted the following amendment:
AMENDMENT PROPOSED,

Add at the end of Section 2.

"Provided, That the provisions of this Act shall not be
construed, so as to interfere in any way with the negotiations
in real estate by Attorneys-at-Law, in behalf of their clients."

Which was adopted.
