Mr. Suit submitted the following amendment:
AMENDMENT PROPOSED.

Section 22, line 6, strike out "five," and insert "twenty,"

Which was adopted.

Mr. Getty moved to reconsider the vote by which the order
submitted by Mr. Bannon failed to receive a majority.

Mr. Phelps, at 2.40 P. M,, moved a call of the Senate.

The Sergeant-at-Arms was directed to inform the absent
Senators that their presence was required in the Senate Cham-
ber.

On motion by Mr. Suit, at 2.45 P. M., further proceedings
under the call were dispensed with,

When,

Mr. Gorman moved to adjourn,

Which was decided in the affirmative by yeas and nays as

follows:
