TDESDAY, January 18, 1876.
Senate met at 12 M.
Prayer by the Rev. Father Schwartz.
Present at roll call, the following Senators :

Messrs. President, Aydelotte, Bannon, Brewer, Cooper,
Duke, Dennis, Freeman, Ford, Gorman, Hepbron, Hum-
phreys, Joyce, Knight, Lee, Lawrence, Lloyd, McCulloh,
Newcomer, Phelps, Stevens, Steiner, Suit, Walsh—24.

Proceedings of Friday's Session read and approved.

Mr. Steiner presented the report of George C. Deaver,
President of Frederick College, for the two years, ending De-
cember 31st, 1875.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on Educa-
tion .

Mr Walsh presented the memorial of Frank B. Proctor
and twenty-five other citizens of Harford county, praying the
repeal or amendment of the Act of 1874, chapter 439, in re-
gard to licenses.

Which was read and referred to Messrs. Walsh, Lee and
McCulloh.

Also, by Mr. Hepbron,

The memorial of Wm. H. Capper and one hundred and
ten other citizens of Kent county, praying for the repeal of
chapter 439, of the Acts of 1874, in regard to licenses.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on Judicial
Proceedings.

Mr. Aydelotte presented the memorial of Isaac D. Jones
for the payment of the balance of his claim against the State
as one of the Commissioners to adjust the Boundary Line,
between the States of Virginia and Maryland in the years
1872 and 1873.

Which was read and referred to the Special Committee on
the State Boundary Line Question.

On motion by Mr. Walsh, it was

Ordered, That the Postmaster of the Senate procure a
sufficient number of stamps, and place them upon the daily
Journal, and documents ordered to be sent to the newspapers
throughout the State.
