46 JOURNAL OF PROCEEDINGS [Jan. 14,

Mr. Stevens, from the Committee on Judicial Proceedings,
reported unfavorably,

Senate Joint Resolutions, making it unlawful for Railroad
or other Corporations or Companies to issue, or officers of
the State Government to receive, permits, or passes for free
travel.

Mr. Joyce moved to substitute the Resolutions for the un-
favorable report.

Which was decided in the negative by yeas and nays us

follows:

Senate Joint Resolutions of inquiry into certain alleged
abuses.

Being upon their second reading,

On motion of Mr. Humphreys were ordered to lie over un-
til Tuesday next, Jan'y 18th.

Senate bill entitled an act to provide for the removal of
Guardianships, entered in the office of the Register of Wills
of Allegany County, to remove said Guardianships to Gar-
rett County, where the Guardian, and Ward or Wards reside
in Garrett County.

Being upon its second reading.

On motion of Mr. Gorman,
The Senate at 2.15 P. M., adjourned.
