Knight, Lee, Lawrence, Lloyd, McCulloh, Mudd, Newcomer,
Phelps, Stevens, Steiaer, Suit, Walsh—24.

Proceedings of yesterday read and approved.

Mr. Steiner presented the memorial of E. Marshall, J. B.
Wilson, John E. Page and 78 others, citizens of Allegany
county, representing to the General Assembly the urgent
necessity existing for the support of the colored schools, and
praying the members not to curtail the annual amount here-
tofore appropriated for their support.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on Finance.
