On motion by Mr. Stevens,
Leave was granted to the Committee on Judicial Proceed-
ings to introduce the following bills :
A bill entitled an Act to amend Article 72, of the Code of
Public General Laws, entitled "Partnership Limited," by
adding thereto a Section regulating the responsibility of per-
sons not being partners, who shall receive or contract to re-
ceive a portion of the profits of any partnership general or
limited, as a compensation in whole or in part for money
loaned, or services rendered thereto or therefor.
A bill entitled an Act to amend Article 75, of the Code of
Public General Laws, entitled "Pleadings, Practice and Pro-
cess," by adding to the same two Sections rendering equita-
ble defenses available in actions at law.
On motion by Mr. Dennis,
Leave was granted to the Committee on Judicial Proceed-
ings, to introduce a bill to add an additional Section to chap-
ter 504, passed at January Session, 1874, relating to the
manufacturing and sale of oils for illuminating purposes,
&c , and to repeal certain Sections of the same Act.
On motion by Mr. Walsh,
Leave was granted to the Committee on Agriculture, to in-
troduce a bill to establish, in connection with, the Maryland
Agricultural College, an Experimental Station for the analyza-
tion of commercial fertilizers, and to make other scientific re-
searches for the benefit of the agricultural interest of this
State.
Mr. Stevens, from the Committee on Judicial Proceedings,
reported unfavorably,
Senate bill entitled an Act to repeal Section 2 of an Act
entitled an Act to limit the hours of labor in this State, for
all minors under 16 years of age, passed January Session,
1874, ch 3, and to re-enact the same with amendments.

House bill entitled an Act to repeal ch. 3 of the Acts of
1874, entitled an Act to limit the hours of labor in this State,
for all minors under 16 years of age, and to re-enact the
same with amendments.

Also, favorably,
House bill entitled an Act giving the sanction of the Gen-
eral Assembly of Maryland, to the bequests of Daniel Wol-
ford, late of Washington county, deceased, to the Church of
God, at Broad Fording, in said county.
